August 7-11, 2017
Teens (ages 13-19): 9:00 am-12:00 pm | $125/week
Seniors (60+): 10:30 am-12:00 pm | $100/week
Join ECA's first intergenerational camp! Led by Youth Marimba Workshop in partnership with Silver Kite Community Arts, this camp will give seniors and teens the experience of a true community marimba band. Participants will learn to play melodies, harmonies and rhythms, as well as keep time on a variety of marimbas, hand percussion and drums. The camp is structured so that teens play together in a special morning session. Teens later take the lead to help teach their senior band-mates when the whole group meets -- with the objective to provide leadership and mentor opportunities to both teens and seniors. No experience is necessary, all skill levels are welcome! On the last day of camp, the full band will perform for friends and family.

* Please note: As this camp involves collaboration between teens and adults, ECA is required to run background checks on all adult participants. This is a simple, free-of-charge process that will check exclusively for crimes against persons. Once adults have registered, ECA will forward a consent form to run this check. Please contact Gillian Jones at or 425.275.9483 with any questions or concerns about this process.

ECA's Summer Arts Enrichment Camps are made possible with funding from The Boeing Company. Special thanks to Nancy Bittner for her generous support of summer camp scholarships.

"I think he may have a love for the arts and we just didn't recognize it. His excitement for your puppet camp surprised me; I always thought he was more of the sports type because of his activity level. So, I thank ECA for giving us opportunities to expose him in fun active ways that are affordable."
