Arts For Everyone

Over 2,700 students attended an Education Matinee 2016/17 through the Arts for Everyone program. Arts for Everyone offers $2 tickets to performances in ECA’s Education Matinee series, based on a school’s overall percentage of students on Free and Reduced-Price Meal programs. With the objective to increase accessibility to the performing arts for young people, ECA has committed to provide a minimum of 30% of seats at each Education Matinee at a reduced rate. For these schools, tickets will be $2 per student, vs. the regular $8 student ticket price. For more information and details on how to apply, please contact Gillian Jones, Director of Programming, at or 425.275.9483.

To participate, teachers may apply for discounted tickets on a by-performance basis. Priority will be given to schools with an overall percentage of 30% or higher of students on Free and Reduced-Price Meal programs. Allocation of Arts for Everyone tickets is at ECA’s discretion based on both a school’s level of need, and the order in which groups apply. Teachers will be notified of whether they have received Arts for Everyone tickets two months in advance of each performance.

In 2015, with the generous support of the Hazel Miller Foundation, ECA expanded the Arts for Everyone program into ECA’s Saturday Matinee performances. Families and friends attending with children who qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Meal programs through the school district and/or DSHS benefits are now also eligible for $2 tickets to any ECA Saturday Matinee performance.
